1/3 It's Courage Day, the Aotearoa New Zealand name for the International Day of the Imprisoned Writer. An oft-cited figure on this day is the Roman statesman Boethius (c. 480–524), known for writing ‘The Consolation of Philosophy’ while imprisoned awaiting trial & execution.
