Just had conversation with a British couple who have a holiday home near us. They voted for Brexit and have made no arrangements whatsoever for what happens on Jan 1. They have now discovered the reality of their situation.
The blame apparently is with "Brussels".

This is the most coherent statement PFA have put out throughout this. And reflects what you hear all the time from players: YES we will take a pay cut. BUT we want it to go to NHS, club staff, Leagues 1 and 2. NOT to dividends, £100m transfer fees, £3m bonuses for chairmen

Actually have some sympathy for our footballers tonight. If the clubs need their help I think they’ll get it. But it’s the actions of certain club chairmen and poor leadership at the PFA that has suddenly exposed them to this criticism.

This is fairly pathetic predictable stuff. Why footballers? Why not hedge funders or retail magnates or those with vast unearned inherited wealth? Why not the Prince of Wales?
