@boden_jon if people really want to complain about the sound, then the first thing to do is to go and stand in different parts of the hall and see if the problem is the same in different locations. Then let the FOH engineer know how it changes and where.

I had a guitar smashed on a flight with @AerLingus a few weeks ago. I've tried the various online routes they make you go down to claim for this horrendous damage, but they have ceased to communicate with me. Share if you agree this is unacceptable behaviour for an airline.
