It’s honestly exhausting how often it happens. You’ll be having a completely normal conversation about anything and suddenly a man feels the need to announce whether or not he finds some woman attractive. No one asked, no one was wondering, and yet he says it like it’s valuable information. “She’s not really my type.” “I wouldn’t go for her.” “She’s okay, I guess.” And it’s like… why does that even need to be said? 😭😭
Redd@ReddCinema

I'm I the only one who doesn't find Taylor Swift attractive in the slightest?

"b-b-but not all men!!" yeah not all men. just 70000 men having a rape chat. just a small town of men who participated in raping gisele pelicot. just men having a "raping festival". just men world over making laws to subjugate women. but sure go on about how its not all men

@CeeElexF @peterrhague @Bornawoman99 Y'all really just use the phrase "suicidal empathy" to ignore actual reality of how policies work in the real world. You're harming women who have had miscarriages and you're not helping any child. This is the reality. If you want to exist in a fantasy, that's your prerogative

@AlexGaggio @peterrhague @Bornawoman99 No sane person murders etc etc. heard it all before. This is suicidal empathy and it's nonsense. If you kill someone's you get punished. There are already exceptions for insanity.

@CeeElexF @peterrhague @Bornawoman99 The number of women who have late term miscarriages, who are severely vulnerable, or mentally unwell hand over fist outweigh the incredibly small amount of cases where a woman, just for fun, has a late term abortion. Late term abortions under medical care are still only possible

The “late self induced abortion” fear assumes women ignore MONTHS of obvious physical change and then suddenly opt for the most difficult, risky, stigmatised option available. That’s just not how people behave. Women act early. When they don’t, it’s because something has gone wrong (access, knowledge, safety) not because they fancied waiting

Wrong. There is NO legal pathway or clinical precedent for a healthy woman with a viable pregnancy to obtain an elective abortion at 9 months in the UK. Late-term abortions are tightly restricted and only permitted in serious medical circumstances. If she was to do this at home (wholly unprecedented) and the fetus was viable, it would come under infanticide.
Murry Jo@Murryjoe9Joe

@MadelaineLucyH This was true, it now isn't. Yesterday the House of Lords passed legislation decriminalising abortion. If a woman aborts her 39 WK 6 day old unborn child at home she'll no longer face legal reprocussions. Post 24 wks Its still illegal for medics and anyone else to help.

🚨This is just misinformation🚨 You can’t just “abort at 8 months” Infanticide is still murder. The law is about not criminalising women, not “abortion up to birth”
Landeur 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿@Landeur

If a baby is born 1 month prematurely, and I suffocate it, that is murder. However, a mother can now 'abort' her child at 8 months in the UK and face no legal consequences. This was passed as law, despite only 1% of the public supporting it. Is this democracy? Really?

I don't think '1 in 100 men are murderous rapists'. I don't even think 1 in 1,000 men are murderous rapists. I do think 1 in 100 men have quietly looked the other way when his friend harasses or gropes a woman. I do think 1 in 100 men have accused a woman they have never met and know nothing about of lying or exaggerating about being assaulted/raped. I do think 1 in 100 men have excluded women from networking/events because she spoke out about man in the industry. I do think 1 in 100 men have thought 'not my problem' when they are witnesses of assault or sexual abuse. I do think 1 in 100 men know a man is guilty of abuse and says nothing because of 'the bro code'.

Ok when we say a third-trimester fetus is 'non-viable' we don't mean 'I don't want a baby without one arm' or 'I don't want a baby with a learning disability'. We mean the child is likely to die during birth or immediately after. Usually in a great deal of pain. That's the bar, legally and medically for an abortion at that stage. No doctor is going to perform a 9-month abortion because the child could have autism. That's a fantasy.
