📍Chiesa di San Bernardino alle Ossa, Milan This ossuary originated in the 13th century due to the overcrowded cemetery of the medieval hospital and was reconstructed in the late 17th century in Baroque style after its collapse

It’s interesting how art can influence people. We all know Stendhal syndrome, that overwhelming feeling caused by intense beauty. But some works of art give you chills because the story behind them is so dreadful. For me, one such example is the statue of St. Bartholomew in the Duomo di Milano. Long story short: St. Bartholomew was one of Jesus’ twelve apostles and is said to have brought Christianity to Armenia. He was brutally martyred: first crucified, and then flayed. He is depicted holding the knife with which he was tortured in one hand and the Gospel in the other, with his own skin hanging from his shoulders

@joce_leigh I enjoyed these spots: 1. Rigolo (Via Solferino, 11) 2. Il Marchese Milano (Via dei Bossi, 3) 3. Trattoria Milanese - Dal 1933 (Via Santa Marta, 11) And one of the best gelatos I’ve had was at VERO Gelateria Cremeria (Corso Garibaldi, 60)
