Adding that when I taught, only Jaws and The Exorcist won Best Sound (Jaws also took Dramatic Score) and Aliens had won Best Sound Design. I think that while visuals give us the visceral horror, it’s the sound that tells us we’re not paying attention.

I think in the new year, I’m going to try to be more active here, specifically regarding my VO work. Fact of the matter is there just hasn’t been anything coming in or enough to celebrate. But I think going forward, I will try to cheer on those who are having their moment.
