@tendeitem They clearly have an impact yes, many of them are part of the National Team large core, but I don't think they will have a bigger impact from now on..

@AlexScoutRo some of that Euro 2024 team came from that Hagi Academy like Ianis, Razvan, Dragus, etc i say give it a few more generations, maybe golden gen comes in 2030s

🇷🇴 U17 - Qualification at the U17 World Cup in Qatar! The 2009 generation missed the EURO but achieved an historical performance after beating Iceland, Portugal and losing only against the Italian hosts in a strong battle (2-1). Precup, Matei, Corlat & co for the win.

@tendeitem Not sure about this, Farul is still ahead from many pov's but the gap is smaller with other academies in the country now. We actually see less of their presence in the youth national teams. The diaspora might be the real game changer imo.

@AlexScoutRo are we finally seeing the Hagi Academy finally blossom for the national team ahead of the 2030s decade, since he made it in 2009... all these kids went through the academy (and various others in București & Cluj) from "birth" to now?

@AndreiMarian907 I've had only positive feedbacks about hime, clearly the top prospect of CFR's academy. Indeed he was more of a forward but since a while is covering the whole right wing. Personally I like his profile as a RWB from what I saw

@AlexScoutRo Thoughts on Cosmin Matei from CFR? I knew him as a very talented attacking player but he's been played as a right back for Romania U17. Will this impact his development and we will see him as a fullback?

@GigiUltraPLUS Yes, however from what I quickly saw in his apps with Genoa I wasn't that impressed, I might be wrong but let's see more.

🇷🇴 U18 - Promotion to League A for the #U19EURO After defeating Andorra (3-1) and Lichtenstein (11-0), the 2008 generation managed to draw against Denmark (2-2) in the stoppage time and win their group. A team who also switched to a 3-CB's system and showed offensive potential.

We'll cover more deeply this generation who also performed well in the first round with a notable 1-1 against France. A team with some strong diaspora elements but also local prospects, who found it's playing style in a hybrid 3-CB's system.

Et puis une dernière chose... Le respect et l'admiration pour Hagi & Lucescu en Turquie, je m'incline. Les gens ont les yeux qui brillent. Ça surpasse la considération dont bénéficie Hagi en Roumanie, tant on ne sait pas apprécier nos légendes pour ce qu'elles sont.

🇷🇴 U20 - Starting XI 6 defenders + Jalade on the pitch. What could we expect? Curious to see what the strategy will be.

TURKEY 🇹🇷 1-0 🇷🇴 ROMANIA - End of the dream #WC2026 With a bit of luck maybe... can't blame the boys, tried their best in a difficult context. Only regret: the incapacity to create a real pressing and go "all or nothing" at least last 10 mins. Good luck Turkey, deserved win 🫡

@ClaudeDinca There was a clear difference of value overall, not only their star-players. However I don't think we necessarily need a world class player, we have some very decent ones playing at good European level. But tonight nobody showed up, and as a team we still struggle.

@AlexScoutRo I think the worrying thing is that we really need to see some quality players come through the National team. We don’t have any world class players, whereas Turkey have 3-4, and honestly, they deserve to go to the World Cup (assuming that they beat Kosovo).

@ClaudeDinca Yes, I wasn't expecting anything before min 75' at 1-0. But the end of the game left me without any emotions and hope. Quite awkward game, both teams seemed very stressed (which is normal), but very slow tempo, many basic errors. Don't know if I am the only one who felt this.

@AlexScoutRo We were a little unlucky but Turkey has much more quality than we do. Also, I agree with the comment about the pressing. Turkey were allowed to run the game down by keeping possession, and our players seems to struggle to press to win the ball back.

U17 | 🇮🇸 ICELAND 2-5 ROMANIA 🇷🇴 Impressive win for our U17's, probably playing with a back-3 considering de first XI. Interesting choice with quite well suited players like Cosmin Matei as RWB. Ioan Precup & Goncear with both 2 goal contributions.

U18 | 🇦🇩 ANDORRA 1-3 ROMANIA 🇷🇴 Decent start for our 2008 gen' on the roaf for #U19EURO in 2027. Without being spectacular, they controlled the game, with Bota & Taroi having the biggest impact upfront.

U19 | 🇷🇴 ROMANIA 0-2 KAZAKHSTAN 🇰🇿 #U19EURO The bad news of yesterday. Surprised by the pressing and a very aggresive/disciplined team, our U19's went out of solutions. An off-day. They will have to beat Northern Ireland and Denmark to hope for a qualification.

@greaterrome1 I would go with Mihaila - Hagi - Man Petrila off the bench

@AlexScoutRo They need to put Man behind Birligea and start with Mihaila from beginning. Maybe, Baiaram on the other flank. The attack is very important
