I think this is his “how can I show how smart I am?” tipping point. It’s the kind of horrible thing you come up with when you’re dead set on standing out from your peers.

@HorrorMovieBBQ Yeah, Home Alone 2 is for all intents and purposes a nice ad for "going to New York City for Christmas." I liked it for what it was as a kid but I can't really deny that aspect of it, either lol

If we’re going one step further, I think even the cast has admitted part 2 was not great. I remember walking out of the theater thinking “that was the first movie all over again” but it did make me wanna see Christmas in NYC for 30 years so I do have love for it now. But then? No

I love Home Alone 2 way more now than I did in 1992. I thought it was washed then for the exact reasons James gave in his review. That said, y’all say you want honest opinions and takes until it’s something you love and feel you have to defend. These are movies, not real life.
