@mattguthmiller That's a good point. "Look both ways" is a reasonable expectation of a fire truck driver at an airport.

@GiveMuskThShaft I have not seen the video yet - but I've always been trained to not enter with red lights even if cleared by ATC.

@AlexStankie Video of the incident appears to show the lights were illuminated as the emergency ground vehicles were approaching. They don’t appear to slow down and don’t stop. The lights extinguish just a couple of seconds before the aircraft crosses the intersection.

LaGuardia’s automated Runway Status Lights should have prevented the Air Canada tragedy last night. Bright red lights embedded in the pavement are designed to turn on automatically when the runway is occupied or an aircraft is on final approach. They warn pilots & vehicles to STOP — completely independent of ATC clearances. They were either ignored, not functioning properly, or shut off last night... @VadimYuryev Haven't looked into it - but I wonder what the import/tariff implications are of importing an "all-in-one computer" vs a Monitor. I think it's 35% tariff vs 0%.

The MacBook Neo made me realize that the Studio Display XDR is technically an iMac with A19 Pro, 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. (could easily be more) It could have been an iMac, but Apple disabled it's ability to run macOS. Kind of nuts when you think about it!

@mweinbach I always run with a cellular enabled iPad Pro and a 16in MacBook Pro. Anything I need thin and light for is usually administrative, and an iPad with cellular checks the box, (and fits better on the tray table).

I will always travel with my 16-inch MacBook Pro, but for a secondary laptop (always bring one) I usually like thin and light Thinking that'll be a Dell XPS or MacBook Neo, tried a MacBook Air but it was so close to the Pro I was like... might as well do a Pro if I have it

@vladtenev dealing with fraud charges on the @RobinhoodApp gold card is an incredibly painful process, and not consumer friendly at all. I've been on chat support and on the phone for 2 hours and your team can't issue a new card number/cancel the old one in app.

I've loved having @Starlink in my airplane, but the new aviation pricing of $3k a year for just 20GB a month is not worth it. I've been paying $600 a year for 100GB. Bait and switch @elonmusk. Canceled my service.

So @starlink gets thousands of airplane owner/operators to sign up for game-changing affordable inflight WiFi ($50/mo for 100GB use) and then raises the price per month by hundreds and cuts the data amount by 80%. Looks like classic Bait and Switch

@CoplandSupply Both FedEx and Amazon Shipping have rates that will beat USPS ground advantage. Worth looking into. Only saves ~$1-2 per shipment, but adds up overtime.

@bzamayo Or any iPhone case... That was always a struggle. designing cases. Any wider and you start blocking the speaker. Leave the bottom open, and customers complain you aren't protective enough.

A surprisingly high number of ends of USB-C cables are too wide such that they do not fit through the open space afforded by the iPhone Air’s Bumper case.
