One less smash burger in Las Vegas.
Florida-based Swine & Sons quietly closed up their Las Vegas location about two weeks ago.
Located near Russell / Ft. Apache, the Michelin-recognized burger spot lasted a little less than two years.
Swine & Sons shared the space with Foxtail Coffee Co which is still open.

Swine & Sons has a pretty decent smash burger. $14 bucks for a double + $5 for curly fries. You have to order inside the Foxtail Coffee Co unless the outdoor window is open. Located at Russell / Ft Apache, it’s worth checking out. Not a lot of seating, so to-go is the play here when it’s busy. swineandsons.com

At today’s City Council meeting, we shared an exciting update on The Good Word Market Hall and shareDowntown Westside, two projects coming together to create a new gathering place rooted in the Historic Westside.
The Good Word Market Hall is located at D Street & Madison Avenue; this first-of-its-kind 8,950-square-foot market hall will feature local vendors, dining, entertainment, and dedicated space to support small business incubation. Designed as a welcoming community hub, it’s a place to eat, connect and celebrate the Historic Westside. We plan to start construction next month and open by the end of 2026.
Next door, construction on shareDowntown Westside is now fully topped out and will bring 104 new apartments, neighborhood-serving retail, public art, festival streets, and community programming, helping strengthen the area while creating opportunities to live, work, and gather downtown. The interest list for residential opportunities will open Feb. 21 at our Love on Jackson event.
Together, these projects represent thoughtful investment in people, place, and opportunity for the Historic Westside!
