This will be the first time this season where Detroit will have lost consecutive home games.

This team came back from 20+ down in the second half of an elimination game to save their season. Last two years they’ve twice staved off elimination by going on the road to win after losing a heartbreaking game at home. This team has many questions but resolve isn’t one of them

Pistons have played 20 playoff games the last two years, 13 of those games against teams that made conference finals. Only in one of them did they get run off the floor. Sucks it happened in Game 7 but we have a separate Game 7 where they blew the opponent out as counter evidence

Way too much focus on Ausar’s lack of shooting and not his need to improve as a finisher at the rim

@CoachPapaJohn I know everyone is infected with Dan Campbell “this might’ve been our only shot” but if this is the best roster Trajan puts together in Cade’s prime, something will have gone majorly wrong

@Alex_Drain Like we’ve seen all year this team has no hope offensively if Cade is out or doesn’t have it rolling. They need exactly one more quality ball handler and creator and they’ll be great

There will be a lot of hyperbole about this game but I think it looks like a team/roster that has just sort of hit its ceiling

@CoachPapaJohn If you told me preseason the Pistons would win 50+ games, beat Orlando R1, and lose to Cleveland in 7 in R2 I would’ve been pretty ecstatic about that idea. Pistons fan discourse came into the year bearish on the team after the Beasley saga/Caris signing lol

@Alex_Drain Yup one seed in a year with the two best teams’ best players tearing an Achilles and a playoff series win is a good thing.

@DaddyLipton Pistons just have an odd roster, so many guys that on a given night can be really useful but not consistently and enough to differentiate themselves from the others

Ahead of another Game 7 I’m sorta caught between “man it would really suck to lose at home to Cleveland again when the series was very winnable” with the perspective of “if you go back to the start of the year everyone would’ve been ecstatic with the season playing out this way”

If that Jalen Duren shows up on Sunday, it would take a woeful shooting night from the perimeter for the Pistons to lose. We’ve been waiting all playoffs for it
