@catsfive @StephenFleming The U.S. It is essentially impossible for Iran to deliver a gun type nuclear weapon to the United States. If the eu, Israel, or middle eastern countries want to stop it, I don’t really care how they do it. I just don’t want my country to be involved in that sand box anymore.

If you have enriched uranium, you can make a Hiroshima-scale “gun-type” nuclear weapon in a decent machine shop in a weekend. (Note that the USA didn’t even bother to test the “Little Boy” design… we KNEW it would work. Trinity was all about the “Fat Man” implosion design, which is more complex.) So trying to draw a line between “allowing enrichment” and “allowing a nuclear weapon” is just meaningless yammering. It doesn’t relate to the real world.
Joe Kent@joekent16jan19

It appears that the zero enrichment poison pill killed the Islamabad negotiations yesterday. We have 9 more days in this cease fire to fix this, but we must pursue our goals not Israel's. Trump's redline has always been no nuclear weapons for Iran, not zero enrichment. Iran agrees with this and has not sought to develop or obtain a nuke since 2003 but needs to retain the ability to enrich for their "not Saddam but not Qaddafi" policy to work. This makes negotiations between the U.S. & Iran workable as the dispute is on levels of enrichment and monitoring. This is a threat to Israel getting us to do the heavy lifting in the regime change/decapitation war they want. Israel needs us chasing every trace of uranium in Iran because that ensures we stay engaged militarily in Iran, because how do we ever fully make sure Iran can't enrich without taking out the regime? This is the recipe for an endless bloody war or supporting/turning a blind eye to Israel using a WMD on Iran. Restrain Israel, get a deal, open the SOH, focus on saving our Republic, not playing empire.

@StephenFleming @catsfive It is also a very large and heavy device that Iran would have no plane capable of delivering. And gun type nukes can’t fit on missiles. Not our problem to take care of.

@catsfive Incorrect. I’m clearly referring to HEU (90%). With that, it really is quite simple to build Little Boy. An implosion device, or a thermonuclear device, takes an entirely different chain of processes. But Hiroshima was destroyed by Little Boy. Zero advance testing.

There’s a lot I can tolerate if I’m getting mass deportations. I’ll laugh off dumb AI boomer Jesus photos. I’ll even grit my teeth on dumb foreign adventures that are going to cost us dearly. If we’re backing off deportations cause the communists ran an op in Minnesota, I’m out.

I mean, whatever. I don’t want this to happen. But I can’t say I am surprised, it seems like everytime conservatives have “dominance” they just piss it away at the expense of their constituents, while their competition blatantly changes the legal and political landscape. Just look at VA.

You average person's understanding of violence is derived almost entirely from Hollywood movies and it's why none of these people should be allowed to vote on anything related to gun control, ever.

There’s two answers to this: 1. Many Americans like a little space and to have a little plot of land to call their own. They don’t want to share walls. Given the choice, all other things being equal, a significant portion choose space over walkability. 2. A subset of Americans enjoy walkable urban living, and many cities offer this. Most cities in America are run by a political party that chooses to demur on prosecuting criminality and fixing obvious quality of life issues. Despite this, there’s still plenty of takers for urban living in the US. Some people who would choose urban walkability were it not accompanied by criminal elements instead choose to live in suburbs where local government cares more about their taxpayers than their criminals. There was a big push to re-urbanize starting in the mid-00s. It worked fairly well. Cities still cleaned up the streets and millennials started reclaiming urban land. This was met with a lot of resistance about “gentrification” and forcing poor urban residents out of cities, as well as policy shifts that erred on the side of giving criminals infinite chances rather than removing them. We aren’t as backwards as Europeans would like to believe, but we have structural and governance problems that hinder re-urbanization.

Daily reminder: Nixon wanted to be the American Messmer, constructing a fleet of 1,000 nuclear plants, making American a clean country from then all the way through to today. If he had his way, we would have defeated climate change AND electricity bills.

Before the settlers who became the Afrikaners, there were no buildings taller than termite mounds Before the British Royal Navy shut down the slave trade, it blighted Africa Before the Belgians established order in the Congo, it was ruled by cannibal chiefs and Arab slavers from Zanzibar Before Rhodes colonized Rhodesia on his own initiative, it was forever stuck in the Stone Age and ruled by those who treated cattle better than the humans they owned Colonization had its abuses and injustices, but it is thanks to the great bravery and generally just rule of those Europeans who ruled that the primordial horrors of the Dark Continent were for a time stamped out and replaced by the flickering flame of civilization and all its benefits Now, thanks to decolonization and race communism, all that is ending and the horrors are returning one by one. Cannibalism, slavery, expropriation, injustice…everywhere candles are replacing electricity, literally and metaphorically That is a great shame

Civilization was built by people like this, and there is a stunning lack of gratitude in our culture for their work. In this specific case, at least half of the apple varieties in Brown’s collection were considered “lost” until he personally tracked them down and saved them. He literally went on quests where he did things like, tracking a lost variety back to a stump of a long-ago-cut-down tree near an abandoned homestead in remote Appalachia, took cuttings from the green shoots coming out of the stump, brought them back and planted them. Absolute legend.

Covid vaccine promoter. So was Trump. But when you look at the Pope’s other statements and retweets, especially regarding support for gun bans, then ou can triangulate his politics rather easily.
Cernovich@Cernovich

Are we really going to play the game that the —-Pope—- doesn’t have significant political influence, and it’s therefore irrelevant that he promoted gun control, George Floyd, and the wrapped up the Covid-19 vaccine as “an act of life.” That is bullshit and you all know it.

Most people become Catholic *in spite of* who happens to be the Pope, not because of him. Do you refuse to become a citizen of the United States when you don't like who the president is? Do you give up your citizenship if you don't like who's president? The Pope is a leftie boomer who considers the poor of the "global south" holy and saintly. He is going to be used to bludgeon the right by the Obama-Soros cabal in the next few years. They are grooming him to be their main spokesman on why the USA needs no borders and should keep sending all our money to the third world and inviting millions of foreigners in. Just take what you like from him (the basic dogma) and ignore the rest (the Obama-tier political slop). I am begging the Pope to render unto Caesar that which is Caesars.
