@pokiyves She's for real. There's a system event where she gets a bald spot from excess salt in here food playing badly with her more reptilian biology, so they have to put her on a low-sodium, low-fat diet so that her hair can recover (it takes a week, but does).

@AuraHaver @Molycuddle That sentiment, "why should I?", tells me that I shouldn't trust you if things come down to it, which means you'll have a harder time in future. Again, empathy and community shouldn't have to be explained to apathetically, they're basic human traits, but whatever.

@Tom_Foolery22 @CosmonautMarcus I'd argue that everybody in that 50%+1 is responsible, not just the +1. Also, why are you assuming red is the default state? We could just as easily frame it as red voters are gambling with everyone else for an extra bit of safety they already had.

I disagree. Everybody has a fair chance to hit either button. People who push blue should and hopefully would know the risks attached to their choice. If they lose, then that sucks but they took that risk themselves. In terms of 50%+1, if it’s a private vote, no-one could know or would ever know if they were the +1 or not, which, like, the thought of possibly being “the one” is not a good thing to have, but I think it circles back to blue voters knowing the risks, taking the gamble, and unfortunately losing

@Tom_Foolery22 @CosmonautMarcus I mean... It is the original question. If the red vote leads to 50%+1, everyone who pressed blue dies. Even if it's a ratio if 99,9% red to 0,1% blue, the thousands that would die were killed by the actions of the ones who pressed red. And clearly, the split isn't that onesided

Red is letting other people gamble with their lives while being safe with yours If you want to pick blue and take that risk that’s fine but I don’t want to take that risk so I’m going to pick what I believe is the safer option which is red. And I can pick red and still secretly hope blue wins but if blue doesn’t win, then im still insured so to speak

@Liv_Boeree The red/blue thing makes me think about Benny and Rick from the Mummy: Benny to survive, will abandon Rick to his fate or feed people he knows to a homicidal mummy. Rick, despite Benny's BS, holds the line for him, and hold out his hand during the escape to save him.
