@professor_dave I know nothing about your field (doing an education PhD with social work professsional background) but I can see you are rightly shining light on an aruguably murky issue that warrants more scrutiny. Please keep calling this stuff out! 💪

@Danny_Ruiz123 The point is, this was not some huge team, where she just did the experimental work. Essentially this line of research was all published by just the two of them, plus a few other RAs from time-to-time.

So she was first author on his key paper - in fact she's on most of his key papers, yet she didn't get the Nobel Prize, in spite of the fact they could have given 3 awards, not just 2. Explain to me how STEM is not institutionally sexist.

So great to see the lovely Jennifer again here, rightly celebrating this amazing achievement. I sat opposite her for a year in the office 15-20 years ago and am one of so many that benefitted from her expertise, kindness and pragmatism. Congrats Jennifer!

I’m so sorry to see this. BYC undoubtedly had funding and, at times, ethical challenges. But it was committed to the value of young people’s direct voices in policy development. Thank you BYC, especially those that served without personal benefit. I hope to see the gap filled.
