@garrytan @conductor_build Try running Little Snitch with one of the StevenBlack hosts files. Gets rid of a lot of network chatter that clogs up your inflight WiFi, helps a ton.

I’m on a United flight with their legendarily bad WiFi that makes internet unusable on my MacBook Pro especially for heavy multi-worktree @conductor_build sessions But now I have a new love: building in multiple topics in Telegram group with my OpenClaw bot It feels amazing

@sissenberg @nytimes A correction will appear in tomorrow's print edition: "A headline with an article on Friday about President Trump’s threats to leave NATO misstated the full name of the body. It is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, not the North American Treaty Organization."

@AndreasSteno @AndreasSteno 200,000 bpd increase offsets only 1.5–1.9% of the lost Hormuz volume. Like trying to fill a swimming pool with a garden hose. Lloyd’s underwriters will determine the near term path.

CMU researchers, in collaboration with NVIDIA, present ASAP, a two-stage framework for humanoid robot agility. It pre-trains motion policies on human data, then refines them with real-world corrections using a delta action model, which adjusts for simulation mismatches.

They will, but they can’t sustain it. It’ll be a “who blinks first” game and Trudeau has lost his backing as he’s on his way out. My bet is Canada blinks first, NATO spend goes up, car production starts shifting to US with parts supply being ‘allowed’ to remain in Canada (will take time).

@alexandermans @villi They’re in charge. They can raise taxes on Americans to own the Canadians if they want. That doesn’t make new taxes a good idea! Trump is a weak man, so if I were them I’d call their bluff and exploit his weakness.
parker@pt

If I were Canada or Mexico, I’d respond to the PR president on his own terms and create highly-targeted tariffs designed to shut down specific factories that are very dependent on trade so they could show that on TV. wsj.com/economy/trade/…

Chaos and incompetence is back. This tariff is so absurdly stupid. First, there is no goal or objective associated with it. Second, you are starting a trade war with your best partners and weakening them as a result. Last but not least, at a time we are trying to reduce our reliance on China and onshore our supply chain, you are directly undermining our top strategic priority to contain China. So stupid!

Canada has a history of high tariffs on US goods (270%+ for dairy, 238% on poultry, up to 20% on softwood, etc). Canada’s economy is 6th within NATO, yet they spend 27th as on defense as % of GDP because the US is so conveniently close. That, and the 1 in 5 cars made in Canada is what the administration wants to see changed. Tequila, Avocados, Maple Syrup, and Oil (as US and Saudi start raising supply) are not a staple of your average American household.

@villi @alexandermans A PR win if any kind for the president is all he wants. They can either go that route (eg USMCA 2.0), or engage with the PResident on his terms and try to embarrass him. I would do the latter TBH. Bullies don’t stop until you sock them in the jaw.

The most amazing aspect of DeepSeek Open Source is that just the Reasoning Engine can be isolated and used with any other LLM. In fact you can have a mixture of Reasoning Engines cascade around a problem and then use an Operator type agent AI to function on the the results.
Brian Roemmele@BrianRoemmele

Promises made, promises kept. YOUR AI agent that costs you nothing monthly, runs directly on your computer, and is unrestricted in its capabilities. OpenAI Operator charges $200/month and restricts access to many tasks like visiting thousands of websites. Oh and you don’t have to give OpenAI your logins and passwords. They stay with YOU on YOUR computer. YOUR AI. YOUR DATA. YOUR WAY. YOU ARE THE OPERATOR. Link: x.com/brianroemmele/…

I like MKBHD and his work, but his Tesla Cybertruck review — and it’s “Already Iconic?” title — is irresponsible. The Cybertruck will cause many fatalities and injuries. Making light of the danger it poses to human life and framing it as an iconic status symbol is irresponsible.

@Reuters Based on our work in airline cargo optimization, I expect an uptick in Asia-Europe shipments diverting around the cape due to uncertain delivery timing and insurance risk. Airlines will benefit in the short term by adjusting airfreight rates just high enough to grab demand

Why try and slow the fastest payload to orbit growth in history, let alone with weak arguments like having to hire non-citizens (SpaceX is ITAR-controlled) or endangerment of 7 (!) quail and a dozen crabs?… bloomberg.com/news/features/…

This is a really important and moving speech. Listen to all of it with your own ears, not through someone else’s depiction. Put aside any preconceived notions on Kennedy. These are words that can help save our democracy and our country. I do not say this lightly. This will be the best use of ten of your minutes today.
