Chaos and incompetence is back. This tariff is so absurdly stupid. First, there is no goal or objective associated with it. Second, you are starting a trade war with your best partners and weakening them as a result. Last but not least, at a time we are trying to reduce our reliance on China and onshore our supply chain, you are directly undermining our top strategic priority to contain China. So stupid!

Canada has a history of high tariffs on US goods (270%+ for dairy, 238% on poultry, up to 20% on softwood, etc). Canada’s economy is 6th within NATO, yet they spend 27th as on defense as % of GDP because the US is so conveniently close. That, and the 1 in 5 cars made in Canada is what the administration wants to see changed. Tequila, Avocados, Maple Syrup, and Oil (as US and Saudi start raising supply) are not a staple of your average American household.

I like MKBHD and his work, but his Tesla Cybertruck review — and it’s “Already Iconic?” title — is irresponsible. The Cybertruck will cause many fatalities and injuries. Making light of the danger it poses to human life and framing it as an iconic status symbol is irresponsible.
