Does anyone have any knowledge related to the US Army? I have some questions about how a soldier communicate with his family while on deployment as well as the procedure if an injury happens. It's for a novel I'm writing.

Here's my three takeaways for tonight's 2-1 Montreal Canadiens' overtime win over the New York Islanders brought to you by Baton Rouge Vaudreuil. 1- Patrik Laine showed up as advertised and scored a powerplay goal on a laser of a wrist shot from the left side. He was noticeable all night and showed little to no rust. Laine's playmaking has always been underrated and he also demonstrated his ability to challenge guys 1-on-1. One can't help but wonder where they'd be right now if the injury never occurred. 2- That's two overtime goals in less than a week for Nick Suzuki. While his season started slowly (despite the fact that the point total was decent), his game has rounded into form. He got a good bounce in overtime before eventually scoring the winner but I'm sure it felt good to score knowing he wasn't selected to play for Canada at the Four Nations Faceoff. Habs fans will be disappointed that Suzuki and Cole Caufield were left off their national teams but in reality it's a blessing in disguise. It's a chance to rest and recover and maybe even use the snubs as motivation. 3- Sam Montembeault was terrific and maybe had extra pep knowing he will be representing Canada at the first best on best international tournament since the World Cup. Montreal had many lapses defensively against an Islander team that has little to offer offensively. Montembeault was up to the task and made 30-saves in a game that easily could have featured three or four goals for the opposition. And most importantly he was better than the goalie at the other end Ilya Sorokin who's considered one of the top players in the league. Great way to start the homestand and they should ride Montembeault until he falters. @tsn690 #tsn690

This is a big, big deal. As Jorge and Alden report, age fraud among international amateurs remains an issue. And this case is particularly egregious. A player who said he was 14 years old was actually 19.

Gerrit Cole est en mission. J'hais pas que les Yankees se soient enfin réveillés. Ça donne un meilleur spectacle en soi (sans rien enlever à la dominance des Dodgers lors des premiers matchs). #WorldSeries
