The South Wetlands Park just received $325K of funding for the last stage of planning. This will help create a brand-new eco-park on the piers behind the South Philly Walmart and was a great reason to reference both @AlexiconTom and @AaronHeard_. Full story below/in the bio.

The Post Office building at 1602-12 Frankford Ave. in Fishtown is for sale. The ~6,900 sqft, CMX-2 zoned building at Frankford & E. Columbia was just listed yesterday for a tidy $5.5 million, meaning we would likely see redevelopment here in the future. Thoughts on the move?

@Jim_Gardner It’s important to notice the park service made the conscious decision to remove this memorial at a time that can be viewed and recorded by bystanders. A slight act of defiance to the orders they have received. They do not want this. Nor do I.

National Park Service takes down slavery memorial from President’s House in Philadelphia. Grotesque. An absurd effort to deny visitors the opportunity to acknowledge the existence of, and learn about history of slavery in America. Rewrite history. Who does that? Apparently we do.
