This over-sexualization of female subjects in generated images is something we've known since at least 2020 (see @aylin_cim & @ryanbsteed's arxiv.org/abs/2010.15052) - it's so frustrating to see that this continues to be a problem, now in actual deployed products. 😳

In a classic experiment, 12 articles were resubmitted to the same journals in which they had already been published. Three were recognized as resubmissions. Eight of the nine articles reviewed again were rejected, often due to "serious methodological flaws."
