My friend got home from his night shift by 6am. He was hungry so he decided to boil small rice. He went to the living room and sat down to close his eyes small. He woke up to the sound of neighbours banging their hands loudly on his door. With fear and confusion he runs to open the door.. They ask him where the smoke is coming from and with confusion , he goes to the kitchen and that’s when he remembered he put something on the fire. We thank God the fire didn’t escalate but please , don’t cook anything when you are tired. Sleep first. Safety first. I can’t imagine the amount he would have paid in damages if God had not intervened.

So this is how we are thinking of redesigning the Igbo apprenticeship program “Igba boy”. For the pilot program, we will likely take in 200 persons to engage in the training on global quality carpentry, bricklaying, tilling, plumbing, HVAC, POP and electricals. The trainees will engage in an intensive 1 year program which they will be housed and fed. No holidays during the program. An additional 3 months will be on business and commercialization. Once they complete the cohort and they meet the standards set, they will be settled with a good amount of money to build on the business arm of their skills. Those who don’t meet up will be dropped off from the program. We will be visiting training centers in Togo and Germany in the coming weeks to solidify our plans and training partnerships. Let’s brainstorm… what do you think?

I went to the bank last week to make a transfer. I was so bloated and cramps were dealing with me but I thought it’ll be a quick one . Went in saw the long queue and tears just filled my eyes . I stood rubbing my belly and holding my back for about 5mins when a woman walked up to me and asked what I came to do . I told her and she took me to the front . I was so happy only for her to tell them that I was pregnant and they should allow me . I was so shocked but I fell into character and kept rubbing my belly .for someone who hated bloating ,who knew a day would come when it would be useful. I would be a gaslighting mama during those phases of my life.

During Mass today, I noticed something that really caught my attention and I'd like to know if I am thinking too much 🙏🏼. The guy seated beside me was seriously praying over a girl’s picture on his phone, and I didn’t think much of it at first. But when it got to the moment for the exchange of the sign of peace, he used his palm frond to make some kind of sign on the picture, then spat on it, placed the phone on his chest, and finally slipped it back into his pocket. Since I got home, I’ve just been thinking about it. Is this a new way of tying people or what exactly could that be?
