Harper looks like he’s struggling with the fastball again in the WBC. His numbers against that pitch have been trending down over the last couple of seasons. His AVG against four-seamers since becoming a Phillie: 2019: .322 2020: .293 2021: .347 2022: .337 2023: .316 2024: .273 2025: .248 He also only hit three homers against pitches that were 95+ MPH last year, whereas Schwarber hit 15. Protection or no protection, the book seems to be out on him and it’s on him to adjust back. This and walking more will get him back in the elite discussion.
