A senior advisor to President Trump tells us the president is “very disappointed with Bondi’s inaction on cannabis rescheduling.” According to the advisor, Bondi says the delay is due to the DEA’s need to ensure everything is done in a legally valid manner, while continuing to imply a final order could be published within days, something she first said more than a month ago. The advisor says Trump wants the order posted before the forthcoming CBD Medicare program launches and is telling Bondi to do what it takes to get it done. The advisor also says it’s possible Bondi could be removed following Noem, citing rescheduling and other issues.

Some anonymized daily sales stats from (mostly) public $MSOs in Ohio over the last few months with some blind items: 1. The bottom performer is one of the biggest MSOs. One of their stores is newer, but even if you just look at the store they've had open since day 1 of OH AU, they'd still be below the second to last MSO. 2. Second to last is an MSO which often touts their retail prowess. Many of these stores have been open for long enough to have much better sales, so it's not just recently opened stores pulling down the average. 3. Third from last is one of favorite "levered bets" of certain degends from cannabis twitter. 4. Then you have kind of a middle grouping between $9k-$12k per day. An interesting group where you find a mix of the consensus "best operators" and at least one consensus worst operator. Rounding out the top three is probably one midsize MSO that some would expect, one degen "levered bet" that actually seems to do a good job, and a very small MSO that doesn't get talked about much... -- @analyst_exec and I have talked a lot about scrappy operators like $GRUSF, but there are scrappy operators in every part of cannabis competing against larger MSOs. So it's good for investors to consider this: even the best MSO in the chart below wouldn't even crack the top 5 overall by daily sales in OH. (which is not to say that selling $18k/day on average out of a store is bad)
