If my response to “Who Naija language help?” upset some people, I apologize and take full responsibility for my words. That doesn’t mean I hate Nigerian languages or our culture.
It all started from an innocent tweet where I said my kids speak French, and it made me think maybe I should buy a house in Paris. Somehow, that turned into something completely different.
At no point did I say I hate the Igbo language or Igbo culture. I said “Naija language,” referring to the different languages in Nigeria, but some individuals twisted it and made it seem like I specifically mentioned Igbo. I didn’t.
That said, I still take responsibility for how my words were received.
But again, bro, you’re at it again, using this moment as another opportunity to pull me down. Just like I wrote in my open letter two years ago, doing everything possible to make people hate me will never work.
Yes, people are dragging me over my statement, and that’s okay. We all have moments where our words can be misunderstood or where we could have expressed ourselves better. I accept that. But deliberately twisting my words and using petty tactics to damage my reputation says a lot.
I don’t know why you look for every opportunity to make derisive comments or jump on the bandwagon whenever I’m being attacked. The other time, you threw shades at me and even age-shamed me for still dancing at my age. Now it’s this again.
At this point, I think it’s only fair I start giving the same energy I receive. No more Mr. Nice Guy.

Well, I find it quite flattering to be immortalised in an Afrobeat song by the artist Phyno. It is a great honour. How many people do you know who have been memorialised in a song? It is a rarity. Whether or not Mr Azubuike insults me on the track is immaterial. The important thing is that the song commemorates me. Try to understand that there are five major ways by which you can eternalise people. By writing about them, portraying them in movies, sculpting them, painting them, or by what Mr Azuibuike has done for me, composing a song and making me a central figure in it. This chap supports Peter Obi and has appeared with him during his tour at Howard University, in Washington DC, USA. Yet he has never composed a song in praise of Obi. Nobody has ever done a diss track against an irrelevant person. For someone to wake up and feel compelled to compose a single and feature you on it says a lot about your relevance in their lives. Especially someone that you were previously unaware of. Fela Kuti has passed on into ancestor-hood, yet whenever people listen to his music, they hear about persons like Olusegun Obasanjo, Shehu Musa Yar'adua, and Tunde Idiagbon. By singing about them, even though mockingly, Fela Kuti borrowed them his immortality. BREAKING: The Court of Appeal has overturned the Federal High Court’s decision ordering INEC to deregister five political parties, including the ADC.
The rest of the parties affected by the deregistration order of the Federal High Court are Accord Party, Action Alliance (AA), Action Peoples Party (APP), and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
The appellate court specifically declared the judgment that ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to deregister the parties “null and void”.
The court, while describing the judgment as “a nullity”, held that “what the learned trial court did amounted to judicial impertinence or what the Supreme Court called judicial insubordination.”
The three-man panel of the appellate court presided over by Justice Abba Mohammed, in a unanimous decision, held that the trial court had no jurisdiction to hear the case in the first instance.
The appellate court noted that the trial court was wrong to have proceeded with the delivery of the judgment despite the order of the Court of Appeal directing a stay of proceedings, which included the delivery of the judgment.
It also noted that the 1st Respondent had no locus standi to institute the action in the first place, thereby setting aside the judgment of the trial court.
