@AlfWebb On a calm day, you could spray pre catalysed lacquer outside. 2 coats would be ideal. I use wood-finishes-direct.com/product/morrel… really easy to use

@toddthepainter It is better in real life but it’s a fair point, lots of people prefer ratio of about 80/20, somehow it shows it off better, or what they call a cats paw 🐾 pattern. Personally I just like the acres of burr as it’s rare. It represents a lot of potential veneer too. (Not my pic)

@AlfWebb I like what it's doing with the grain, but the burls themselves are a bit overwhelming. Probably better in real life.

@JASloan_Farm It’s an area I’m not great on tbh, I know the finishes I like but I don’t always know how to get there. I’d like to get a spray system set up so building up the coats is easy but I need to know more before I get into that.
