We had another wonderful awards ceremony last Friday @NationalTheatre. We started with a tribute to the Awards co-founder, Yvonne Brewster OBE. Thanks to James St. Ville, Pat Cumper, Michael Buffong and Olusola Oyeleye for their reflections about a great theatre pioneer.

Recently we’ve been in Bristol, Leeds and Nottingham running regional writing workshops for new and emerging Black British playwrights. We asked the writers to come with an idea or with the play they’re currently working on, and it’s been wonderful to watch the participants
