I simply cannot understand why people are so angry about a ballroom that future Presidents will enjoy and is 100% privately funded. President Trump could save a kitten from a tree and it would still be a scandal.

Yes, this really happened. He blocked bills for an audit MULTIPLE TIMES
Bipartisan bill AB 2903 (unanimous passed 72-0 in the Assembly, 40-0 in the Senate) would’ve forced annual public reports on where the money went
Newsom vetoed it.
Gavin Newsom also vetoed similar bills AB 2570 and AB 2093
“The same broader problem with people paying taxes in California — The homeless, they lose $20 billion, but they want more money for it. That's why people get tired of paying taxes and going, what are you doing? Gavin Newsom just vetoed a bill asking for an audit of where the money for homeless goes. He said, not a chance. If my 5% wealth tax on billionaires was enacted you’d owe $135 million more in taxes & a family of 4 making $150,000 or less would receive a $12,000 payment.
Oh, and you’d still be worth more than $2.5 billion. Seems pretty fair to me.

America is such a fascinating place because this man is providing a service that actually materially benefits people, arguably what the government is designed to do, and you will still see articles upon articles trying to convince you he’s actually doing a bad thing.

My car turned on.
My car will only turn on if the keys are inside of it.
So they must be in the car.
Yet I cannot find my keys.
My car is not messy.
There is very little in it.
I’ve looked everywhere.
And yet, the keys are nowhere to be found.
But they have to be here.
Hence, I have lost my keys in my car.
What … and I cannot stress this enough … the f*ck?
