@BigWave372 There is a funeral fee. It covers candles, cleaning up the church and incidental items. Eight hundred does seems excessive for a member of the church.

The United States already owns an official ballroom.
It is Mellon Auditorium and sits, appropriately, on Constitution Ave.
And, fantastically, it was just renovated in 2023.
So, it's time to stop talking about a $1 Billion dollar ballroom.

Judge Lets Connected Teen Rapist Walk Free After Filmed Strangulation Rapes.
This Oklahoma judge gave 17-year-old Jesse Butler — son of a former OSU football director — just probation and counseling instead of prison. He tried to rape two high school girls, filmed himself doing it, and nearly strangled one to death. Facing up to 78 years, he got “youthful offender” status. Victims ignored under Marsy’s Law. Families furious. This elite protection is disgusting.

A historic Black cemetery in Palmetto, Florida, was vandalized, with graves damaged and “Trump” and “DeSantis” spray-painted across tombstones. Our ancestors deserve dignity in life and in death. Desecrating sacred burial grounds is hateful, painful, and unacceptable. We must protect Black history and honor the families impacted by this cruelty.

High school holds mock "slave auction"—select only Black students to be the "slaves."
Hispanic students were chosen to play the slave auctioneer and buyers.
Many teachers walked out in protest.
"I aim to get me a fine specimen... so I can breed with my women folk," is a quote directly from the script—that was written by a local faculty member.
A teacher—who wishes to stay anonymous for fear of retaliation—said the response from high school administrators was equally disturbing.
"There was never any acknowledgement that people were hurt by it... Just told us that we were interpreting it the wrong way."

In 1957, Marlon Green, an Air Force pilot, applied to be a Continental Airlines pilot. Green had applied to other airlines but was rejected each time. When he filled out his application for Continental, he left the “race” box unchecked. Green made it to the final round of interviews but was not hired, even though he had more flight time than the other candidates who were white.
Green filed a complaint with the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Commission, a landmark case that ended up in the United States Supreme Court which ruled in Greens favor and helped dismantle racial discrimination in the American passenger airline industry.
While David Harris was the first Black pilot hired with a major airline, Marlon Green’s fight for the right to be in the flight deck cleared a path for generations of Black pilots to come. In 2010, Continental dedicated a 737 named for Captain Marlon Green. The aircraft, N77518, still flies for United today.
Thank you, Marlon Green for your contributions towards Black History and paving the way for many to follow 🧑🏾✈️✈️
