Spent way too long building a model to predict World Cup winners. It failed miserably. What I didn't see coming: getting rich historical match data for backtesting was the hardest part of the whole thing. End result — a model slightly worse than a coinflip. Bright side: I picked up some genuinely new probabilistic concepts along the way.

The USDC-as-gas thing deserves its own tweet. On every other chain, you explain to new members: "You need ETH for gas. Bridge it first. Then buy the token." On ARC: "All you need is USDC. You probably already have it." For an educational community onboarding developers, that UX difference is enormous.
