This would certainly be huge news if @dieter is correct. I have no sources on this so I cannot corroborate this, but I have mentioned the need for exactly this countless times over the last few months. The #49ers have simply missed on too many picks (10 misses in Rd3 alone, 18 misses in first 3 rounds since '17 draft) to stay w/status quo. THEY MUST HIT THE DRAFT MORE CONSISTENTLY if they want that 6th Lombardi trophy. Here is how I see their GM options: The Draft Consultants-John Dorsey, Scot McCloughan, Trent Baalke, Ethan Waugh....These are guys who could be contracted out to put another set of experienced personnel eyes on the #49ers entire draft process. In this scenario Kyle still has final say. The in-house promotions-RJ Gillen, Josh Williams, Tariq Ahmad, Waugh...Promoting from within also could be an option, but how truly independent can these guys be with their bosses still hovering over them? Would any of the internal candidates feel comfortable over ruling Kyle on the clock? The external candidates- Alec Halaby-Howie Roseman's Ass. GM. Harvard grad who believes heavily in an analytics based approach to player personnel Evaluations. Ryan Cowden-Eliot Wolf's Ass. GM in NE. Considered to be an elite talent evaluator Mike Bradway-son of ex-Jets' GM Terry Bradway started out in Philly and has been in KC under Bret Veach for the last 8 years. Trent Kirshner-John Schneider's Ass. GM in Seattle. Highly respected. John McKay-Les Snead's Ass. GM w/Rams. Son of Rich McKay and grand son of John McKay. Rich and Kyle worked together in Atlanta in 2015-16 and there is likely a trust there.

$DTREF - there is a reason why the vast majority of OTC people are fucking broke and stay in the OTC for life. They are so jaded that can not see the best stock hands down in the OTC in front of their eyes. Instead they will continue to bitch in perpetuity. Of course there are some very sharp and knowledgable longs that I suspect will become multi-millionaires. Their conviction never wavers. Why? Due diligence.
