Earlier today a significant amount of goBTC was swapped within the Algorand ecosystem. These funds were assets dating back to the @tinymanorg hack in 2022. There are no issues with Algomint or the bridge itself. @Algorand @AlgoFoundation

@Algomint_io @AlgoFamily I understand that. From a risk point is it better to sell gobtc at depegged value and take the losses? Or is there work being done for it to reach the correct Peg. Should we just hold our bags and wait for more comms

@JMB_DUNN Hey Dunn, For the change the foundation have asked that they are distributed to stable pairs. Which for Algomint assets is goUSD paired with either xUSD or USDC. Which are they two we are now incentivizing. But any thoughts on how this could be done differently than proposed?

It’s difficult to understand without seeing the volume. Whilst I like supporting xUSD, their ability to maintain peg is still unproven. In my eyes, it would make sense to support them but to also distribute rewards beyond to other pairs too. What we don’t want to happen is to over support an asset that then encourages users to risk their funds and suffer if a depeg does occur.

With USDT no longer natively being a viable option in the ecosystem, we will assess whether wUSDT should be considered as an alternative inclusion in the baskets in future? Any feedback from the community on this is welcomed.

Re-allocating USDT incentives for GP12 TDR. The DeFi council has suggested all projects shift USDT allocations to alternative stablecoins. goUSD/USDT incentives on @pact_fi will be shifted to goUSD/xUSD.
