Because you're already in the lowest level, interior room, you're good. Keep in mind straight line winds can also cause big damage, so it's best to not be in your car or mobile/manufactured home when the storm arrives. It's a low probability of a high impact event. 4/4

Let's talk about Severe Thunderstorm Warnings with the "tornado possible tag." Below is an example of one, for a Severe Thunderstorm Warning just to our west. It has a "tornado possible" tag at the bottom. We may get one of these warnings tonight. 1/4

Storms are going tornadic/severe inside a narrow area of 500 SBCAPE that's powering them up. Both the storms and the SBCAPE are moving our way. The thinking is the SBCAPE will start to drop as/after the storms get here. Will it drop in time? No one knows for sure / 551 PM
