OLD SCHOOL YOUTUBE NERDS: i am looking for clips of creators talking about how "getting on the youtube homepage" back when it was hand curated (2005 - 2008ish) was a career defining moment bonus points if they describe their channel blowing up as a result!

For the very few BBC live local radio shows I did, we always had Radio 4 loaded on a fader. If in doubt, I was just to stop everything I was doing and cut to Radio 4, that's if central BBC hadn't already seized control of the local stations and done it for us.

Turned on Radio 1 and really feeling for all the live radio presenters who are trying to act normal while waiting for huge red warning lights and on-screen bulletins to flash up, triggering a protocol they've almost certainly never done before for real.
