Feelings I wish I could bottle up on my PhD: 1) elation when I fix or learn cool stuff in R 2) relief when fellow academics reveal that they nearly gave up, too 3) joy when someone (anyone, but ideally a non-academic) expresses genuine enthusiasm for the (extremely niche) thesis

I saw #Octopolis last night; the first I’ve been to a play in too long. It was witty, funny, impassioned, stimilating, intelligent, but also intimate and delicate and raw. Loved it and now love 🐙 PS: I’m utterly beaming that I got to meet the serene, kind @jemma_redgrave 🫶🏼
