@NGKUDXIE I believe there are standard operational procedures like No roadblock is mounted within residential zones only on main roads, also number of officers present for a sanctioned one including regalia & cones, and also if there are No cones & signage they must signal 100m away

It never rains but it pours for Zimbabweans. From today, every car in Zimbabwe will be required to have a car radio licence, even if it does not have a radio, as the corrupt government desperately seeks new ways to generate revenue through taxes. If I wrote a book about today’s Zimbabwe, you would think it was fiction when it is, in fact, real. If you thought Mobutu Sese Seko was the worst dictator, wait until you read about Emmerson Mnangagwa and his cronies. In the past, motorists would not buy these car radio licences when renewing their road motor taxes and annual car insurance, but under this new law, they will not be allowed to pay road motor taxes until they first purchase a car radio licence. All radio stations in Zimbabwe are controlled, both directly and indirectly, by ZANUPF. So, essentially, motorists are being forced to pay a fee to fund ZANUPF’s propaganda machinery. Here is the banana republic joke about these radio licences. After paying US$92.00 (R1,680) for your car radio licence, Zimbabweans must pay another US$40.00 (R735) for a home radio licence. So, if you have a radio at home and a car, you must pay for the same service twice. If you have another radio at your rural home, you must pay for an additional third licence again. If you own a company car, the radio licence fee increases from US$92.00 (R1,680) to US$200.00 (R3,652.00) for each commercial vehicle. It is literally an exercise in making life difficult for your citizens. But because Zimbabweans will pay, ZANUPF will keep pushing them. Zimbabweans will just watch and comply, so more taxes will come!

"Uproar as Mayor David Coltart seeks to ban Winky D from Bulawayo Shutdown Show " A pathetic article which disregards the facts. I have no intention of banning Winky D from @CityofBulawayo not that I have that power in any event. On the contrary I welcome him and other artists - this is bound to be a wonderful event but this is no a zero sum game. It is possible for this to be a win win situation - with the event being held at a far more suitable location. This is an unsuitable venue - there are plenty of other excellent venues - some which the City itself can assist the organisers with - where this event should be staged. bulawayo24.com/index-id-news-…

His Worship Senator @DavidColtart, the Mayor, Town Clerk, Mr C Dube and Heads of Council Departments today welcomed the Operation Florian Team - a group of Fire Fighters from the United Kingdom and students from the University of Central Lancashire who are in the City of Bulawayo for the Phase 12 programme The Town Clerk emphasized the importance of the firefighters’ visit in enhancing local firefighting capabilities. He expressed gratitude for their presence and the assistance they had given the City through training and fire fighting equipment over the years. Senator Coltart noted that the partnership between the City of Bulawayo and Operation Florian had transcended over the years bringing about a positive impact in Bulawayo’s fire and emergency services. He also encouraged the visiting team to use the opportunity to visit the nearby tourist sites. The Operational Florian team is in the city for a two week training as part of the Bulawayo’s Phase 12 programme which aims to enhance the skills of the local fire and ambulance service personnel. This partnership has led to significant training initiatives since the first phase in 2011, focusing on the specific needs of the emergency services. The ongoing training is concentrating on key skills, including Breathing Apparatus, Road Traffic Collision response, and Firefighter Core Skills. The team will work with over 90 new recruits and experienced personnel, ensuring that everyone benefits from this enriching exchange of knowledge. The firefighters from Bulawayo will be joined by fire fighters from various parts of the country and region.

@CityofBulawayo Ask yourselves how much does it cost to purify water for a day vs for 7 days full supply. They obviously saving a lot from water shedding & would do anything to delay normalizing the water situation.
