Itโs the LGB Alliance (@AllianceLGB) conference today and I just want to remind everyone that theyโre a single issue, anti-trans hate group who do not represent or speak for the LGBTQ+ community.
English

@IndiaWilloughby Nice seeing the young trying to make a difference and look for a better future, rather than be stuck in a bigoted past
English

Never mind meeting Wes Streeting for cups of tea and a pat on the head. This is what trans people and our allies need to start doing. Direct action. Disruption. Gender Critical is a hate movement. No different to belonging to the Ku Klux Kan #LGBAllianceConference #Crickets
Michael Baggs@MichaelBaggs
Someone released a box of crickets in the LGB Alliance conference hall. Alexa play Despacito
English

@flagsarestupid @ThomasWillett9 Most people in the LGBa$sholes are straight and once they are done with trans people they will start coming after all the others that aren't straight
Thats like me,a disabled person, supporting the DWP. Or as an autistic, supporting autism speaks
I'm bi, the LGBA can go to he!l
English

@ThomasWillett9 No. It was homophobic. You are irrelevant, you weren't there. They were shoved under my chair & my boyfriend's. He's on crutches. This was reckless at best. It was an attack on our freedom to self-organise on the basis of SEXual orientation. As a witness I'll be clear on this.
English

@ThomasWillett9 Bi here, LGBassholes don't speak for me
English

@AListlessReader @Gemma_clark14 Exactly. Yes there would be liars, but I imagine with most things that's a small %. So don't punish the genuine majority cases based on the few.
English

@Gemma_clark14 I was taught that the best indicator of a patient's pain is when the patient says they're in pain. What kind of proof beyond the student saying they're in pain could they need?
English

@pplmakemecrazy @Gemma_clark14 Exactly this. I was lucky at school that I barely had pain (I miss those days lol) but I was very heavy and would leak in certain PE classes (huge pad alone wasnt enough), so would have to miss some of them
English

@scottastin96 @AdeleMDoherty @Gemma_clark14 So you would agree that schools need to ease up about pain not make it more difficult
English

@AdeleMDoherty @Gemma_clark14 No I cannot, I can however measure my own pain and when it's enough to send someone into pre heart attack and make them violently throw up blood until they pass out having to be pumped full of morphine and steroids, having to have major surgery then back to school next day ๐
English

@edwardrmgraham @Gemma_clark14 If someone keeps being off then maybe they can suggest going to the GP, of they aren't already.
At work once I started having a lot of time off work they had me sit with occupational health to see if they can help but never questioned my symptoms
English

@Gemma_clark14 When I was at school in 1994 there were girls that very week were on their period!
Yes every week not 4!
Always using it as an excuse to get off classes!
So maybe the school is concerted in case it is played on against those who are genuine!
English

@adamfare1996 The side effect on my first covid one was so awful that when the 2nd one was booked I made sure I had no plans for 48 hours and stocked up on my safe foods, but then had no reaction. I was of course happy with that but also kept saying "really?" Lol
English

@Lucy_Webster_ @tomhfh If people actually thought about disability way back when then these homes would never have been built like this in the first place. We have come a long way but still a way to go.
English

Where would you like us to live, @tomhfh?
Why not just say that you think we should all be kept out of the community
Tom Harwood@tomhfh
New private homes shouldn't have to be wheelchair accessible. Many of the most attractive homes in the country have steps up to the front door, allowing for basements with generous natural light. Building regulations effectively ban building like this any more.
English

@RiverCavy @tomhfh My sister and her husband (both abled) are moving home because they have a couple of close friends that can't manage the steps in the garden
They want everyone to enjoy visiting their house, especially as love hosting BBQs in the summer.

Building Regulations Approved Document M shows why new homes with steps up to their front doors are rejected other than those on a steeply sloping plot.
English

@tomhfh Disabled people should have more rights than a pretty staircase
English

@adamfare1996 I say "so that means only 1 person on the planet can be sad? Would you tell someone who lost a parent not to be sad because others have lost both parents, that at least they still have 1 parent?"
English

@RachelCDailey Amazing, congratulations! I loved changing my name after my divorce (first and last name ๐)
English

@adamfare1996 All lot of people in your replies probably wondering how they have passed the "I'm not a robot" checks online.
I personally don't use the Oxford comma, but in a writing group I'm in, there was a poll a while back and I'm sure the majority said they do.
English

@RachelCDailey My hay fever flared up recently and all I could say was, "Really?"
I was in pain from my condition so why not add sneezing fits and watery eyes.
English

@Eternal0Light @hunstantonsmith @vitt2tsnoc Google "men's safety items" and it will show various tools and goggles, usually for DIY projects or first aid
Google "women's safety items" and it will mainly show how we protect ourselves from men
English

@Eternal0Light @hunstantonsmith @vitt2tsnoc This isn't whataboutism. Of course men can be victims and women can be abusers. That is for another topic. Start your own post to raise awareness on that.
This post is about showing that it can be hard to trust men because even some nice guys aren't actually the good ones
