Fun fact, Ritsuka held the mass of the entire Earth for a few seconds despite being a "regular human" and survived.

@shirouxeneize @CrazyMashuFan @augere_mars Romani also mentions Magecraft, which isn't the same thing as Magic in the Nasuverse. It is just a reenactment of what Magic was and therefore weaker, which automatically boots her out of the top 5 because we know there's at least 5 Magics left, one of them wielded by Aoko.

@shirouxeneize @CrazyMashuFan @augere_mars Again, she's strong because she's a servant, not because she's Medea. The Real Medea could die to a regular sword stab, the Servant Medea can't be harmed by anything without Mystery. It has nothing to do with merits and all to do with the way they exist.

@shirouxeneize @CrazyMashuFan @augere_mars As an even funnier example, Gilgamesh in Babylonia is a lot weaker because he's alive. After he dies during the story, his Throne of Heroes version gets summoned to fight Tiamat and that one is MUCH stronger purely because it's the one from the legends.

@shirouxeneize @CrazyMashuFan @augere_mars The natural conditions of the character are actually much, MUCH weaker. Remember: The grail war summoning system in FATE boosts heroes based on their legends, it doesn't mean they could do those things when they were alive. Vlad talks about this in Apocrypha.

@shirouxeneize @CrazyMashuFan @augere_mars Ritsuka on the other hand is a walking mana battery. His capabilities as a mage are terrible and needs to wear Mystic Codes to cast properly, but he's good at supplying mana, which makes him good at being a Summoner.

@shirouxeneize @CrazyMashuFan @augere_mars Her powers and existence depends on having a Master, without a Master she outright dies from mana starvation (which almost happens until Kuzuki saves her). And even then she also needed to kill a ton of people AND a magic workshop to sustain herself afterwards.

@shirouxeneize @CrazyMashuFan @augere_mars This is all to say, it doesn't matter whether you're the master or the servant, both can use underhanded tricks, be ranged attackers or be melee attackers, at the end of the day both are putting their lives on the line.

@shirouxeneize @CrazyMashuFan @augere_mars Again, it's effectively a Summoner build. Compare it to Medea, she also uses ranged magic (MUCH higher powered magic, but you get my point) and summons skeletons to fight for her, but you wouldn't say that's a bad thing, it's just what she's best suited for.

@shirouxeneize @CrazyMashuFan @augere_mars He also uses his body, more specifically his magic circuits. You know, what Shirou "kills" himself using in HF. He's essentially a Summoner build, he spends all his mana on powering up a ton of shadow servants to the point it "kills" him during a story arc (he got better).

@SilverNightbane It didn't even deserve to be called a game IMO. It was just a slot machine with an FF skin on top trying to avoid gambling laws.

@AliceUnderNight It was the greediest, scummiest and least fun FF to play. EVER.
