@potatoslav I thought my German hospital food encounter was bad after the birth of my first 5 years ago…. Just experienced my second birth in the Uk and it as orders of magnitude worse. So much so I now look back at this Germany hospital food fondly.

@RebeccaCNReid She is a failing actor and he is a writer living in NYC, so probably leans towards some definitions of ‘woke’. Maybe something like Miss Saigon? Or Joseph? Oklahoma?

I don’t understand why they don’t make more filmed versions of stage productions like they did for Hamilton in 2020

@RebeccaCNReid I would say it’s luck of the draw with your kid. Mine loved wearing his gloves, and other parents always asked how I got him to wear them. I did nothing special, he just liked them (there are many things he doesn’t like)

People with toddlers, or who have previously had toddlers - are we doing gloves? Will they keep them on? Is it worth it?

@WhoPotterVian @davejthorp Pete has 1.8million Instagram followers, and Montelle has less than 30k, I’m sure things like that make a difference in terms of vote numbers

@WhoPotterVian @davejthorp Absolutely no way it would be Pete, he has such a massive amount of support. Makes sense to be Montelle since her dance wasn’t great and she has been in the bottom two before

@davejthorp A combination of the spoiler being done differently to normal and the fact that the person in question is apparently in the dance off makes me heavily question this. To me, it seemed plainly obvious that the dance-off would either be Wynne and Pete, or Wynne and Jamie.

@potatoslav I actually think it’s a pregnancy hormone thing and once the crazy post-partum hormones settle it’s much better. I sleep sooo badly and dream so vividly when pregnant, so it is easier once they are born even though obviously you still worry about them

@potatoslav Yeh my uk stuff is all digital. But I’m glad I have my 4 year old paper German notes, it has made some stuff easier this time

because nothing in germany is digitized, when you are pregnant you are given this booklet that contains all of your health information, mostly handwritten or taped in. you have to carry it everywhere in case of emergency. if you lose it all the handwritten stuff is lost forever.

@clhubes Brits do have an icky habit of shortening names that don't have natural nicknames - especially ones with R in the middle - to the first 2 letters + a Z. Daz for Darren, Shaz for Sharon, Gaz for Gary, Caz for Catherine, Baz for Barry etc. worse still are Shazza, Dazza, Gazza. 🤣

@oldenoughtosay I think 2021 was around the time they were forced to change their stance on this (I had my first child in 2020 and know lots of 2020 parents really struggled)

@oldenoughtosay oxfordmail.co.uk/news/19142240.… They definitely don’t have a great record on maternal choice But, as a person who is currently pregnant and in Oxfordshire, I am of course grateful to hear you have had a positive experience!

@oldenoughtosay Isn’t this partly because until recently Oxford were not allowing women to chose an elective c-section and were sending women to Gloucester? I really glad you had a great experience but Oxford isn’t a utopia of maternity care

@RebeccaCNReid All kinds of incidents happened between them in S1, including an awkward threesome with Robert! They lived together. But I think the final straw was the fact Harper got another women fired in the S1 finale, just showing she was always just out for herself

Have started watching Industry from series two for a very long boring reason, can anyone explain why Harper and the pretty brunette who speaks Italian have an issue with each other?
