@CCinephilia I 100% agree. Just imagine what it felt like for us to see The Road Warrior in 1981 or (1982 on TV). It felt like it was a film from another planet! Mad Max: Fury Road felt to me like George Miller was saying, "Yo, everyone, I've got some more tricks in the bag!" Check It!

11 years later, Mad Max: Fury Road still feels like a shot of adrenaline straight to the heart of action cinema. Chrome, chaos, and pure cinematic poetry.

@RoseElla1234 Haywire is sick! Steven Soderbergh got great performances out of all of these actors, Gina Carano especially!

In Haywire (2011), Michael Fassbender actually slammed Gina Carano's head against a wall. Carano's genuine reaction to the pain was retained because the director wanted the action scene to look more realistic and raw. Haywire proved real fights hit harder than CGI.

@Sci_Fi_Classics I know that I may catch some flak for this, but I think the movie version of this story far, far, far outweighs the original book version. The only other case I feel this strongly about is Clive Barker's Hellraiser film, which was based on his novella Hellbound Heart.

In the neon half-light of Blade Runner, even memory feels manufactured—and doubt is the only thing that seems real.

@AlexTran677026 Another absolute masterpiece! There are a bunch of videos on YouTube dissecting and analyzing the film, pointing out all kinds of things you miss on the first couple of viewings. The sequel is pretty good too.

90 million dollars was the budget of The Insider. It grossed 60 million worldwide for Disney's Touchstone Pictures, becoming a financial disappointment. The film earned 7 Academy Award nominations but won zero, losing every category to American Beauty.

@Alien_Theory I like how he redeemed himself. Gorman was clearly out of his depth earlier in the film.

Mr. Hallorann in The Shining (1980) deserved so much better. The guy literally crosses a snowstorm after psychically sensing a family in danger, finally gets to the Overlook, and Jack Torrance takes him out within seconds.
