@CCinephilia I 100% agree. Just imagine what it felt like for us to see The Road Warrior in 1981 or (1982 on TV). It felt like it was a film from another planet! Mad Max: Fury Road felt to me like George Miller was saying, "Yo, everyone, I've got some more tricks in the bag!" Check It!

@RoseElla1234 Haywire is sick! Steven Soderbergh got great performances out of all of these actors, Gina Carano especially!
English

@Y2John84 Easily the most terrifying TV movie I'd ever seen as a kid. That vampire was Sick!
English

@Sci_Fi_Classics I know that I may catch some flak for this, but I think the movie version of this story far, far, far outweighs the original book version. The only other case I feel this strongly about is Clive Barker's Hellraiser film, which was based on his novella Hellbound Heart.

The scariest thing about Alien might honestly be Weyland-Yutani.
Ash was just doing what the company wanted.

@_shola__ Easily one of the best character introductions (or in this case, re-introductions) ever!
English

@AlexTran677026 Another absolute masterpiece! There are a bunch of videos on YouTube dissecting and analyzing the film, pointing out all kinds of things you miss on the first couple of viewings. The sequel is pretty good too.

In cinema, as in life, the loudest man in the room is rarely the most dangerous.
Alejandro is the inevitability. He isn't there to argue or to judge. He is there to balance a ledger that has been open for too long.
"Time to meet God."
Taylor Sheridan's script strips away the Hollywood "moral hesitation." It forces us to confront a cold reality: in a land of wolves, there is no room for the law.
English

@CinemaShots_ The cinematography in this film is exceptional.
English

@BestMovieMom Russell Crowe did this film and then lost all that weight to star in Gladiator.
English

@BestMovieMom Another tremendous Michael Mann film!

@Alien_Theory I like how he redeemed himself. Gorman was clearly out of his depth earlier in the film.
English

@TheCinesthetic He was such a cool character. I was pissed that he got killed and in such a painful manner.
English

Mr. Hallorann in The Shining (1980) deserved so much better. The guy literally crosses a snowstorm after psychically sensing a family in danger, finally gets to the Overlook, and Jack Torrance takes him out within seconds.
cinesthetic.@TheCinesthetic
What character didn’t deserve what happened to them?
English

@AvPOdysseyDB The tongue hanging out the side of the mouth does it!

Every time I watch Ripley realizing Ash has been protecting the creature the whole time, knowing all those cool characters died because of it…
still makes my blood boil.

@RetroMoviesDB Battle of the Planets and Star Blazers! I know that's two, but these cartoons rocked!
English

@ATRightMovies Brilliantly done! If I didn't know better, I'd think this was really an old commercial.
English

@uniquemoviemom Yes! I never looked at it that way! When he lifts that guy onto the ceiling and then cuts him in half as he's passing below him is boss!
English

@CinemaCrimes Love the use of 'In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida' in that scene at the end! Manhunter is an early Michael Mann classic.
