Competence Over Credentials. We need to stop telling our youth that a four-year degree is the only path to dignity and success. In Nigeria, the gap between what is taught in classrooms and what the market actually needs is widening.

We often focus on university strikes or secondary school results, but the real educational problem in Nigeria starts much earlier. The window between 0–6 years is the most germane.

Ewwwww. I posted a job on Upwork and got dozens of unmistakable AI-written responses. It feels like everyone is doing it. The signal-to-noise ratio is so low it honestly makes me not want to dig deeper. Anyone still having success hiring there?
