Hearts ànd Minds, old school.
My dad, as a child in England during WWll was won over with chewing gum. Him and his little friends would sit on the gate and ask “got any gum chum?” Ànd if they had it your brave boys, far from home, fighting other people’s battles would happily hand it over.
America didn’t send us losers or mean boys,
We were blessed with the Bravest Men, the Best the United States of America had, …. ànd some of the kindest.🫶

A 20-year-old American soldier had his rifle aimed at a moving wicker basket, just seconds from making a permanent mistake, when a frantic mother ran directly into his path.
Back in the autumn of 1944, Martin Adler was advancing through a damaged village in northern Italy. He stepped into a quiet house and noticed a large basket shifting in the corner. Convinced opposing forces were hiding inside, he raised his rifle.
Just before he acted, a woman rushed out from the shadows and stepped right in front of the barrel. She was pleading with him, repeating one word: Bambini.
Three little heads slowly peeked over the rim of the basket.
Martin instantly dropped his guard. The relief was so heavy that he broke into a huge smile, reached into his pack, and handed the terrified kids some American chocolate. He asked their mother if he could take a photo with them, just to remember the moment.
He kept that black and white picture for 76 years.
When he turned 96, he asked his daughter to post the old photo online. He just wanted to know if the three children had grown up and lived full lives.
The image made its way onto Italian television. Bruno, Mafalda, and Giuliana, now in their eighties, recognised themselves immediately. They had never forgotten the young soldier.
The very next year, Martin boarded a plane and flew all the way back to Italy to meet them in person. When the three siblings walked through the airport doors, the 97-year-old stood up to meet them.
He greeted them the exact same way he did in that empty house decades earlier. He handed them bars of chocolate.

This couple just unboxed their very first Alaskan King bed and it is next-level massive! Many people have never even heard of this size before. Most know California Kings, but an Alaskan King takes things to a whole new level.
For reference, a standard king mattress measures 76 inches wide by 80 inches long. An Alaskan King, however, measures a full 108 inches by 108 inches — that’s 9 feet by 9 feet!
This leaves the question… is the Alaskan King becoming a new trend, or have these giant beds been around longer? And why would anyone need something this big — extra room for kids and pets to pile in, or simply because bigger really is better?
Would you consider getting a bed this large? It’s hard to imagine having to make this bed up every day or on laundry day 😭

Beware the empathy exploit.
Empathy is good and right when thought through (deep), but can be deadly to civilization when simply stimulus-response (shallow).
For example, releasing a repeat violent offender may feel good at first (shallow empathy for the criminal), but it is wrong to do so when that person will go on to hurt or murder innocent victims, as there should be deep empathy for future victims.

Dr. Oz rips the mask off of the shocking union power grab happening in New York City.
The city’s biggest service union is now unionizing “personal care workers” — turning what families used to do for free into a massive taxpayer-funded jobs program with clear political strings attached.
He said the scheme is already on his radar, and the anti-fraud task force is looking into it.
OZ: “The federal government is paying people to do things normally your family would do for you with no money.”
“Now you’re not unemployed, you’re getting income. I’m taxing that income for the state.”
“And here’s the part that’s really bothering me. I’ve just found out that they’re beginning to unionize these personal care services.”
“So the big union here, the service union, 1199, is unionizing these personal care services.”
“It will double the size of the union. And we’re concerned about political patronage.”
“Are you really interested in taking care of folks who need help or trying to stay out of the hospital or nursing homes? Or is this a jobs program with a political patronage kicker that can help keep money flowing to the political parties?”
“We cannot allow this to happen. And the president and the vice president, who leads the the White House anti-fraud task force, aren’t going to tolerate it.”

I've never been more wrong about anything - and I've been wrong about a lot! - than my fear Charles would be a disastrous monarch.
It's not only that he hasn't put a foot wrong, it's that he has done everything - and more - so right. He has the perfect touch, the right manner and, most important of all, good judgment and the determination to act on it.

At Golders Green today, The King reaffirmed his support for the Jewish community, following a series of antisemitic attacks. During his time at the Jewish Care centre in North-West London, The King spoke to victims of the recent knife attack that took place in the area on 29th April 2026. His Majesty also met community police force, Shomrim, who were involved in responding to the attacks.
