i think THE best recruiting strategy in cfb 27 has nothing to do with archetypes, scouting, or NIL. It has everything to do with maximizing your lottery tickets. Let me explain: Each recruit is a lottery ticket. There are things that are hard-coded into the game as 'dice rolls' Dev trait for a 3 star? No way of predicting besides scouting. Starting speed for a Speedster WR? no way of predicting besides scouting. Skill caps on QB accuracy? no way of predicting until they are on your roster. So what do we do? Do we spend critical recruiting hours scouting 2 or 3 players? I don't think so. I want to MAXIMIZE my lottery tickets. I would rather take four unscouted 3-star WRs and land them all. Why? Because there is no penalty for cutting players! So my process is: 1. Land all four guys for minimal NIL and recruiting hours 2. See who got lucky with dev trait, skill caps, ratings, etc. 3. Cut the bad players next year Repeat!!
