@CThomas_group Such a tremendous loss. My heart goes out to all of us, but especially his wife, family, students, and the BC community.

Today, organometallic chemistry suffered the tremendous loss of outstanding teacher, mentor, and scientist Prof. Jeff Byers. But to me, he was a grad school friend who grew into a colleague, collaborator, and conference buddy. His loss will be felt by many for a long time.

I’m trying to come up with a list of well-known chemists who got their undergraduate degrees at PUIs (I can think of Richmond Sarpong and Emily Balskus currently). Can ya’ll comment any you know of?
