Welcoming the First Batch of Beneficiaries of My Postgraduate Foreign Scholarship Programme With glory to Almighty Allah SWT, earlier today, I welcomed the first batch of the beneficiaries of my foreign postgraduate scholarship programme, popularly known as the Barau Scholars, who returned to the country after completing their postgraduate studies abroad. As I am engaged in Abuja on a national assignment, my Chief of Staff, Professor Muhammad Ibn Abdallah, alongside other aides and key stakeholders from Kano State, received the scholars on my behalf at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA). These scholars have not only completed their programmes, but have done so with distinction at prestigious universities in India. The first batch comprised 16 Master’s graduates in Cybersecurity and Forensic Science and 10 Master’s graduates in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. In today’s technology-driven world, equipping our youth with expertise in AI and cybersecurity is not merely an educational pursuit; it is a strategic investment in our national security and economic future. These graduates return home as highly skilled professionals, ready to contribute meaningfully to the development of our dear state and nation. Education remains the most powerful tool for transformation. To our scholars: welcome home. You have made us proud. May Almighty Allah (SWT) continue to bless and guide you. The sky is not your limit; it is your starting point. Congratulations.
