As though that’s the only constraint.
But that’s not correct. IMPORT into GCC states from rest of the world is also constrained.
Strait of Hormuz is not a unidirectional waterway. It’s bidirectional.

One must, at the very least, concede this much about President Donald Trump, love him or loathe him, he possesses a rather unusual trait for a modern head of state: a willingness to say the quiet part out loud.
Where previous administrations often operated through the shadows: quiet briefings, deniable operations, and the careful choreography of institutions like the CIA, MI6, and Mossad, wrapped in layers of discretion and, at times, contradiction, he opts instead for spectacle and candor.
No euphemisms. No elaborate veils. Just a running commentary of intent and action, delivered in real time.
It is, depending on one’s disposition, either refreshingly transparent or profoundly unsettling.
Things like leveling Iran to the Stone Age, Wiping them Out because they are animals, Take the Oil, etc
Because what was once obscured behind policy language and plausible deniability is now presented plainly: unfiltered, unvarnished, and undeniably direct.
And in that exposure, something shifts.
The ambiguity that long defined American engagement in the Middle East begins to erode. The distance between what is done and what is said grows shorter.
Not eliminated, perhaps, but reduced enough that the illusion of secrecy no longer holds the same power.
And so we arrive at an interesting paradox: In revealing more, he has left less to be imagined. And in speaking openly, he has forced the world to confront without distraction, what has long been carried out in quieter rooms.
Whether that is a virtue or a liability, is a question history has yet to answer.
