Today, @PINC_AI and @FortuneMagazine released the list of 15 Top Health Systems™. It is estimated based on the data analyzed that 220,000 additional lives could have been saved and more than 196,000 additional patients could have been complication free for the 2024 study year if all health systems performed at the same level as this year’s winners. That is why the 100 Top Hospital's® studies matter - they provide standards of excellence that hospitals and health systems can strive for to improve patient care and ultimately save lives. Claim denials and delays are costing our hospitals too much. @PremierHA and our members have significant concerns about the potential impact of payment delays and denials on patients’ access to healthcare, and we continue to work with Congress and the Biden Administration to remove barriers to high-quality, equitable care. The @PINC_AI™ 100 Top Hospitals® program released the list of the 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals ™ of 2024, providing valuable insights into the organizations raising the bar for clinical, operational and financial performance as well as patient care. Compared to peer hospitals, those in the 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals™ operated at lower cost and had better outcomes, recording significantly higher inpatient survival rates, fewer patients with complications, lower readmission rates and up to nearly $10,000 less in total costs per patient case. Greater diversity in manufacturing and sourcing, including domestic producers, and dedicated sources of supply are necessary to help ensure the availability of life-saving and crucial medications to hospitals and ultimately, patients. We are pleased to announce that through our ProvideGx® program, and in collaboration with @AmnealPharma, Exela Pharma Sciences and @hikmapharma, we're securing the supply of five vital medications, many of which are identified by the FDA as ‘essential medicines’ or those that are medically necessary to have available at all times. This is part of our ongoing efforts to create a steady supply of quality medications to meet the needs of our member hospitals and health systems and increase supply chain resiliency.
