Following these arrests, the organizations asserted that there is a police presence in the area where the families from the El Bosque cooperative live.

A coalition of organizations held a press conference demanding the release of Alejandro Henríquez, a lawyer and human rights defender, and Ángel Pérez, president of the El Bosque cooperative, who represents 300 families who will be evicted on May 22.

According to the organizations, both were taken to the cells known as the "penalito" in Lourdes and are allegedly charged with the crime of public disorder. Attorney Henríquez is also charged with the alleged crime of resisting justice.

Henríquez was captured the following morning outside the offices of the Water Forum.
