@bill_mcconkey My personal nightmare is a dog off the lead hurtling towards with an owner stating ‘Don’t worry he’s fine’, while demonstrating he isn’t as the are unable to control the exact same dog.

@AllTheAckbars Exactly, if you're a dog owner you are not only responsible for the care of your dog, but there's a due responsibility to anyone or anything that animal comes into contact with. Unfortunately there aren't strict laws on who can own a dog, and there should be.

This is a pic of my GF's dog called Elsie. She was viciously attacked by 2 large dogs that were roaming loose 3 weeks ago. She was left fighting for her life, after a very traumatic few weeks and my bank balance being 3 grand lighter, I am delighted to say she is on the mend.

@bill_mcconkey Very happy to hear she is on the mend, but saddened by the situation :(. I have been phobic of dogs due to being bundled over as a nipper. As I got older I realised that dogs are fine, irresponsible owners are the issue.

Should point out Alison, had to give her 24hr care for all that period, she was touch and go last week with an infection, but was nursed back to health and is now finally getting back to normal.
