Every person has the right to take part in cultural, civic, and community life. This is a legal and moral obligation stated in the constitution. But most persons with disabilities are often discriminated against when events and social spaces are not inclusive. As we mark Autism Awareness Month, today we emphasize on quiet spaces and clear event schedules. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭: 1. Designate a quiet room - a low-light, low-noise area away from the main crowd. 2. Publish a detailed schedule at least 48 hours before the event starts. 3. Brief your staff and volunteers on autism-aware communication. 4. Indicate sensory-friendly information (noise levels, lighting) in your event listing. 5. Welcome feedback from autistic attendees and their families and act on it. include visual aid in presentations. #AutismAwarenessMonth

We are thrilled to share that one of our six aircraft, which had been grounded for some time due to global spare parts and supply chain challenges within the aviation industry, is back in service. We appreciate the support of the Government of Kenya, through the Ministry of Roads and Transport, in helping us resolve some of these challenges. We also thank our Kenya Airways teams and partners for their hard work in getting us back in the air. As more people travel for the holidays to see family, friends, and communities, the return of this aircraft will increase flight availability and reduce delays, ensuring a smoother, more reliable travel experience for our passengers. We will have even more aircraft returning to service before the end of the year. Thank you for your patience and ongoing support. #ThePrideOfAfrica

Earlier today, the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Aviation and Aerospace Development, Hon. Teresia Mbaika, paid a courtesy call to our Ag. Group MD & CEO, Capt. George Kamal. The discussions focused on the airline’s recovery journey and the government’s continued support as we work to restore full operational capacity. As a national carrier, this reinforces a shared focus on operational stability, service reliability, and readiness for the peak travel period ahead. As we head into the holiday season, we remain committed to ensuring our customers travel safely and seamlessly, connecting them to their destinations and loved ones with warmth and African hospitality. #ThePrideOfAfrica

Over the past two years, the YAP team reached over 70,000 young people across Kenya & the region, and amplified youth voices on SRHR from grassroots to global platforms. As the current team exits, the baton is firmly set for the next generation of leadership.
