@mikejoy500 @GoukiLoki @DGodfatherMoody @MRNRadio Don’t know whose idea the whole thing was, but it was going on when I arrived in 1986. And as I was living in Daytona Beach that was used as my intro, not Rhode Island where I’m from originally.

@GoukiLoki @DGodfatherMoody @AllenBestwick @MRNRadio That happened long after I left MRN. When I was there, big league stock car racing was still a "southern" sport. To promote homes of K Squier, D Moody (VT), J Arute and I (CT), D Despain (OH), A Bestwick (RI), E Gold (NY) or C Economaki (NJ)... not helpful to our core audience.
