Real Madrid are busy strengthening their squad, while we’re here talking about renewing Ferran Torres’ contract. Every time we’re linked with a player, another club ends up signing him. No striker, no proper defensive reinforcements. We signed Gordon, and that’s about it. If the Álvarez deal isn’t working, why aren’t we looking at other options instead of being stuck on the same target? Or are we broke again? Is Barca really serious?

To be clear: I think Cucurella is another decent signing for Madrid, and it makes sense given Jose’s arrival. Good for them. But from a Barça fans perspective, I’m incredibly grateful that this prevented us from sacrificing Balde for a fundamentally short-termist signing. We are FAR better off keeping Balde and bringing back Cancelo.

@fuvklar @AnabellaMarvy Do you know the issues if this club, it’s emotions,when season ends you inform players that needs to be offloaded and Flick know Balde, Kounde needs too be offloaded , Casado too and balance books , transfer is in progress and u don’t need to wait until July 1st probably 1:1.

Benfica scammed Real Madrid for €50m. Just because they told Real Madrid that Carreras could silence Yamal, Pérez believed it and went for him. Now this season, they’ve heard another claim that Cucurella can pocket Yamal, so they quickly moved for him again. If Real Madrid continue like this, they will sign 10 left backs. Because when a new coach comes after Flick sacked Mourinho next season he will also demand another left back. They’ve signed two left backs in two seasons. Imagine if it were Barcelona, they would quickly hide behind keyboards crying that we wasted €50m on Carreras. I’m very happy with this signing. No more excuses like if Cucurella meets Yamal in the UCL he will pocket it, he will have to face him every season now. I hope after next season they’ll get another left back.
