FRIENDS HELP ME BEFORE I FALL FOR THIS !!!! Last year around August a certain lady came to our department and approached almost everyone informing us about OLD MUTUAL INSURANCE CO. As she was about to leave, she came to me asked for my contact and when we could possibly meet and discuss more about their insurance policies. She kept on calling me to know when I would be available but at the time I was not interested, so I kept telling her I was busy. She made multiple attempts but all were in vain. I thought she had given up on me, but last week on Monday she called using her personal cell number. she quickly introduced herself and asked of when I could be free to discuss further details. I told her maybe on Friday fortunately it was Eid. She traveled from Nakawa to meet at a certain garden that I told her. She discussed it all. Got convinced, had agreed investments for 5 years, along the way she asked for my bank details for monthly deductions. However she also said that the first deposit must be paid in cash and that is where i became suspicious. In these digital days why ask for cash? She asked me to put my bank account information on their forms which I gave In innocently . She later called another guy who I think she works with to put my stuff in their system and we waited for verification. All otps were sent via on email and sms. Today she sent me messages on WhatsApp asking for clarity about the dates I told her to come and collect cash, it raised another red flag 🚩 why is she over pushy? HELP!!!. Does any of you know about old mutual insurance company? Is this how they operate? Is it real in the first place?

God, I can’t go through another year feeling stuck. Give me clarity, direction, and the strength to follow through.
